1944 - Battle Lines..

Well  it's June 6th 1944 & It's the Start of  D - DAY ,
Where many people were sent as part of Operation Overlord for the Second War World,
As Germany fight's on Battle Lines: The troops of British 21st Army take their mark and get ready for the Great's Battle of their Lives! 


They were supported by: 
                                       Canadian, American, Polish, Czechoslovakian and Free French Soldiers.

    I am sure that I don't have to remind you but this year,2014, sees the 70th Anniversary of the Normandy Landings. Does it seem like 70th Years ago since our brave Veteran Members, Played a Vital Part in the beginning of the end of WWII? 

    There are many activities planned both here  in England and also in Normandy,
    Particularly in June 2014.
     Apart from 70th Anniversary events, this year the NVA as a National Association 
    Will wound up and the National Standard laid up at St. Margaret's Church, Westminster London.

    As you know it is the 70th Anniversary of the Normandy Landing which will be taking place all over Normandy, but sadly their will be less of the Normandy Veterans returning this year.
    Our Branch is also will be returning there to say goodbye for the last time.
